The Plastic Brigade

This is a poem I created for my English class in first year high. I created this in about a half an hour. I got an A+ for it, too.

It's a great and exciting day today.
But not for those cold, brave soldiers.
The green and the tan are fighting away
While we sit there and command them.

We have fun but they do not.
They serve who they have to serve.
We just frown on when they stop,
     Melted, hot, and burned.

The strong green army clashes in tan's base.
Tan's army regroups and charges.
But in green's large base, we look but they gaze
At ten large cannons green forges.

"When will this fight end? Oh man!"
They think with their plastic end.
"Who will lose, the green or tan,
     Melted, hot, and dead?"

The green's cannons are forged and are ready.
You shout, "Fire!" for vollies of shells.
The tan run and hide but they do not flee.
Who wins? Only the green can tell.

Smoke runs through the arid land
And the plastic fumes we've learned
Are those of the once strong tan,
     Melted, hot, and burned.

Now it's your turn:
